RTW The CD release of the 1984 EPs (Gyllensköld/Brained) featured archival material from the Thunder Perfect Mind era (1990-91) stuffed in between. It plays well despite the time jumps, a testament to Stapleton's always effective editing. The Gyllensköld reworking strips away much of the David Tibet/C93 gothicness but leaves the Lynchian absurdity. "Glory Hole" is the peak of NWW's industrial era, sampling/quoting Eraserhead but with added sinister whimsy. Essential. Favorite track: Glory Hole.
